Capri is small island about five miles long off the Italian cost near Sorrento. The stress is on the first syllable, unlike the car or juice box. The cliffs rise out of the water and there are two towns--Capri and Anacapri--that are on opposit ends and a harrowing bus ride apart. It has been inhabited since the paleolithic era and the roman emperor Tiberius retired there in AD 27. Above is the south side of the town of Capri.
